DM dept holds workshop

DUBAI — The Administrative Development and Quality Department of Dubai Municipality held recently a workshop as part of a comprehensive plan to define its strategic plan for 2007-2011 which was attended by the civic body's senior management.

Hawa Bastaki, director of the department, said that the workshop was part of a series of similar events aimed at updating the strategic plan comprehensively by the municipality management. The event included a review and discussion of the proposed strategic objectives in order to learn about viewpoints of senior managers and discuss the future phases for updating the strategic plan. The workshop also reviewed the achievements.

Top management expert due

DUBAI — The Middle East HR Summit 2006, taking place from September 17 to 20 in Dubai, will bring the world's reigning strategy guru Prof Gary Hamel to Dubai.

GCC customer care conference

DUBAI — Datamatix is organising the two day ‘4th GCC Government Organisations’ Customer Care Excellence Conference’ which will be held at Dusit Dubai Hotel from September 16 to 17.

The conference will feature extensive discussions on the customer care practice, call and contact centres, technology, business process and other strategic issues faced by GCC government organisations. The programme will include question and answer sessions, break-out sessions and networking.
