Deaf Week
SHARJAH — In recognition of the International Deaf Week, Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services (SCHS) organised a series of events in the last week of September. During the week, the Hope Institute affiliated with the SCHS urged a stronger support for those afflicted with hearing disability.
A letter by the institute, addressing concerned members of the society, says: “The International Deaf Week is not only an occasion where people can express their love and care towards deaf people, it is a week where we can prove to the deaf people that we cherish them and that they are among the distinguished categories of people who can never be forgotten or neglected."
