Dr Juwa'an bin Salim Al Dhahiri, Head of the Department, has issued instructions asking officials to set up a comprehensive computer database for construction and other material used in the repairs, maintenance and contract analysis, besides designing a code system for each type of maintenance work being carried out.

He urged the section responsible for receiving tenants' complaints to activate its operations and follow-up those complaints by contacting the tenants in order to find out the outcome of the complaints lodged with the department. He called on all concerned to establish a follow-up mechanism on what had been renovated, constructed or the work that was in progress.

He said that the department will have to create various reports and statistics related to the Department's Control System in order to facilitate the Control and Technical Supervision over the operations by the head of the section and the director of the Department.
