Crackdown on daredevil motorcyclists

FUJAIRAH — The Traffic and Licensing Department of Fujairah Police has impounded 47 motorcycles during a crackdown since January 1 this year from riders who flouted traffic rules, including doing daredevil acts posing a threat to the lives of people.

As many as 41 motorcycles were impounded from the city and surrounding areas for not having number plates on the rear, an official of the department said recently.

The riders of the other mobikes were caught doing acrobatic acts on the streets, posing a threat to their as well as others’ lives.
