As per court records, a cargo company had informed the police of receiving a parcel containing a substance that looked like marijuana. The police then set a trap as part of which the cargo company contacted the man whose name and phone number was written on the parcel.

The Nigerian, M.S, who came to receive the parcel (though his name was not written on the parcel), was arrested by the police. However, two men who were keeping tabs on M.S, fled after seeing the police arrest him.

During his interrogation, M.S said he had been told by another person to receive the parcel and that he was not aware of the content inside.

Meanwhile, the forensic science department report stated that no traces of drugs were found in the Nigerian man’s urine. The police investigations too found truth in his version.
