Conference on Emirati family, TV channels
ABU DHABI — The fourth education conference organised by the Abu Dhabi Educational Zone Mothers' Council from Saturday, will be held on the theme of "Emirati Family and Satellite Channels in the era of globalisation".
Director of the zone, Muhammed Salim Al Dhaheri, announced at a Press conference yesterday that the two-day conference aims at urging TV channels ''to reconsider their plans for the different programmes that contradict the traditions and customs of our society''.
The conference, to be held under the patronage of Her Highness Shaikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairperson of the UAE Women's Federation and the honorary Chairperson of the Abu Dhabi Educational Zone Mothers' Council, will feature debates and lectures on society bonds and the effect of modern technology.
