Condition of accident victims critical

SHARJAH - Al Qasimi hospital is making great efforts to save the lives of the four victims of the horrific accident which took place on Friday. The accident also caused the death of two sisters, Fatima, 12 and Shaikha, 5.

Dr Safia Al Khajah, said that three members of the family — an aunt and her two nephews — and their Filipina maid are in hospital. Omer, the five-year-old nephew’s condition is critical due to internal bleeding in the brain. Ahmed, the 18-month-old nephew is under observation, while the 25-year-old maid has been admitted to the ICU. The maid and Omer have undergone surgery.

The aunt did not have any clue of the death of the two girls and would not be told until she recovered. More than 40 family members and relatives have gathered at the hospital.

The condition of all injured are considered critical. A special medical team has been assigned at the hospital to work round the clock to save the lives of the family members.

The accident took place in Al Shahba area, as the aunt who was driving the car lost control over the wheel and crashed into the salon car.
