One of the cancer patients complained that those standing in the queue in the corridor feel embarrassed as they are exposed to public glare.

“The number of chairs placed in the corridor are not enough for the patients who wait for chemotherapy treatment,” another patient added.

Rashid Al Saadi from the Community Relations Department in Tawam Hospital regretted the inconvenience to patients. “We sympathise with patients, especially the oncology patients or those with special needs, and we appreciate their patience.

Shifting of the clinic to the new place was for a short period because of the expansion and maintenance works being carried out in the hospital,” he said.

He said that the oncology clinic will be shifted to the old venue in March this year, and there would be separate waiting areas for male and female patients.
