The Market is a shopping centre at Green Community that caters to shoppers who range from the residents in the surrounding neighbourhoods and hotel guests with a wide range of retail stores, cafes and restaurants.

“One of the main events we have organised for the Comedy Surprises week at The Market is an interactive Pantomime Show by two hilarious performers that will incorporate dance, clowning, slapstick and in-jokes,” said Carol Grebe, Retail Manager, The Market. “The week’s events will also entertain children with their favourite characters like Barney and Winnie-the-Pooh,” she added.

Earlier, The Market kicked off its themed activities with Global Surprises that featured the Global Dance Show with the Dragon Dance, Bharatanatyam & Mohiniyattam and Al Youla; Adventure Surprises where kids of all ages enjoyed a friendly boxing competition dressed up like sumo wrestlers and a DSS Road Show that featured the Zebra Show, the Fontana Show and the Hand Balancers Show.

Besides a Food Art Workshop as part of Food Surprises was conducted that taught kids how to perform Art with food along with an International Food Fair that offered all kinds of delicacies by chefs of the Marriott Green Community, Casa Maria and Magee’s. All activities received a tremendous response from residents and visitors alike.
