Lopez, an Indian national, finds place in the Guinness Book of World Records and Limca Book of Records for having the largest coin collections from over 200 countries.

Being organised by IAS in association with Sharjah Airport Authority, the exhibition will run until October 10.

Indian Consul-General Venu Rajamony inaugurated the exhibition on Sunday night in the presence of Ali Salem Al Midfa, director of Sharjah Airport Authority.

The exhibition showcases the rarest collection of coins, with some dating back to the BC era.

“I have been collecting coins since my school days. I started it for fun but later it became a part of my life,” said Justin.

KM Mathews, president of IAS, said, “The exhibition is part of our initiatives to promote talented people in different fields. The collection of Justin is interesting for the public, especially the history enthusiasts. So we provided a platform for it.”

The entry to the exhibition is free.
