Code of ethics for blood transfusion in Arabic soon

SHARJAH — The UAE will translate the blood transfusion medical code of ethics into Arabic for all Arabic speakers worldwide.

The translation will be uploaded into the computer system affiliated to the Blood Transfusion International Network, said Assistant Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Health for Blood Transfusion Services and Research, Dr Amin Al Amiri. Meanwhile, the Board of the International Authority for Blood Transfusion Services (IABTS) is holding it's second meeting from February 16 to February 17 at Amsterdam. The meeting is being attended by one board of director from the Blood Transfusion Services Worldwide, ie seven directors from different regions across the world.

Dr Al Amiri has been selected as the director of the Middle East region which includes 23 countries. The board of the IABTS will discuss many important issues including the world conference for Blood Transfusion scheduled to be held in Madrid from June 23 to June 27.
