Cluttons to launch Lagoona Beach Luxury Resort in Bahrain

The collection of 100 luxury apartments at the Lagoona Beach Luxury Resort & Spa Residences are the first of its kind in Bahrain.

Cluttons, an international real estate consultancy, is to launch a new luxury residential complex in Bahrain, offering residents five-star facilities and access to a beach island with serene view.
The collection of 100 luxury apartments at the Lagoona Beach Luxury Resort & Spa Residences, which are available for long lease, are the first of its kind in Bahrain. The resort will be open in the fourth quarter of 2015.
The apartments boast of round-the-clock services including a gym, four swimming pools (one indoor), mixed and ladies spas, water sports activities, squash and tennis courts plus a unique beach island at the adjacent five-star hotel.
Alba's Project Titan well on track
Aluminium Bahrain (Alba), one of the world's leading aluminum smelters, is on schedule with its cost-improvement programme - Project Titan.
The project, launched in February 2014, is a two-year programme that aims at reducing Alba's cash cost by $150/mt. Project Titan was launched to ensure that Alba maintains its position as one of the leading, low cost producers in the aluminum industry.
Ithmaar reopens enlarged West Riffa Branch
Ithmaar Bank, the Bahrain-based Islamic retail Bank, has reopened its West Riffa branch after significantly enlarging the branch to accommodate additional tellers and customer service stations as well as dedicated facilities exclusively for female customers.
The expansion is part of the bank's commitment to constantly improve its customer service, said assistant general-Manager and head of retail banking, Mohammed Janahi.
"The West Riffa Branch is one of the most popular in Ithmaar Bank's retail banking network of 17 full service branches which, together with the 47 ATMs at strategic locations across Bahrain, are part of one of the largest networks in the Kingdom," he said. "In line with our commitment to continuous improvement, we decided to upgrade the branch to ensure better, faster service," he said.

The Soie Chinese Restaurant (www.soiebahrain.com) at the Sheraton Bahrain Hotel has launched its new menu.
The event was attended by the local media, food bloggers and social media influencers in Bahrain who were all excited to taste the new creations of Chef's at Soie.

Bapco Silver Sponsor for 3rd Six Sigma Forum
The Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco) has recently provided silver sponsorship for 3rd Six Sigma Forum organised by the Bahrain Quality Society (BQS).
The forum which is held under theme "the drive for perfection" will be held from September 30 to October 1. It aims to spreading the idea and applications of Sigma 6 and benefit from international, regional and local expertise in improving institutions performance.
Sigma 6 is applied as quantitative approach to improve and develop quality and as a system to improve leadership and performance levels in institutions. In addition, Sigma 6 uses statistic equation to determine the success of the institution in achieving a task during a measured period of time.
