Chinese works of art on display
DUBAI - Around 50 paintings and works of art by renowned Chinese artists are currently on display at the Chinese Court in Ibn Battuta Mall. The China Art Fair exhibition will run until August 16.
Among the artists whose works of art are being showcased are Bai Jiafu, Su Yaning, Dong Zhenzhong, Lin Mei Dong, Yan Xuezhang, Zhang Baoshen, Chang Lu, Liao Zhibiao, Liang Weibin, Wang Jiping, Gao Kunshui, Feng Bing, Cao Xiaoming, Wao Hongli, Huang Shuiían, Feng Zhankui and Ya Guiyan.
The highlight of the event is an impressive demonstration of speed painting in the evenings by the master calligrapher, Lin Mei Dong, to the accompaniment of traditional Chinese Gu Zhang live music.
Marc Jones, marketing manager of Ibn Battuta, said the spectators also get to aerial acrobatics on silks by world-class performers group, Viva from the United Kingdom.
He said the China Art Fair is part of the ongoing activities of Ibn Battuta for the Dubai Summer Surprises. It is open to public from 10am to 10pm from Sunday to Wednesday and 10pm to midnight from Thursday to Saturday.
