Charity gives Dh1m for orphans’ kin

The UAE’s Human Appeal International (HAI) on Tuesday provided Dh1.17 million to 2,100 Palestinian orphans’ families sponsored by the Islamic Charitable Society.

The ceremony was attended by Marwan Abu Sultan, representative of Al Khalil province; Judge Hatem El Bakri, president of the Islamic Charitable Society; orphans’ families and a number of officials.

Ibrahim Al Rashid, Director of HAI’s West Bank office, said the orphans aid project provides a safety network for 20,000 Palestinian families with a total annual amount of $10 million.

Abu Sultan expressed his thanks and appreciation to the UAE’s Human Appeal International for its efforts to serve and help vulnerable groups in Al Khalil province and all Palestinian governorates.
