Disabled students registered with Special Needs centres are also accepted as external students. Namaa Al Aryan, Director of Foreign Schools at the MoEY, said the department had received complaints about schools in Ajman and Abu Dhabi violating ministry's regulations.

She said that school records were being investigated and that a campaign would soon be initiated to prevent such violations. She said that the campaign would not only be conducted in existing schools but also among new ones who had submitted the lists of their school fees to the ministry for approval. It was found there were discrepancies in fees between one school and another. She said it was time to put a stop to these violations adding that she was preparing a memorandum on these issues that would be brought to the notice of the higher authorities.
