Deema Hussain, Deputy Head of the Cartoon Surprises Organising Committee, said, "The Organising Committee has nearly completed the work on the city that will make the world of the lovable cartoon characters accessible to children. We have designed the concept in a way that appeals to children in the age group of 4-13. Captain Hamad, a character that we launched last year, found resounding success with our target audience. Therefore, we are presenting the city under the umbrella name of Captain Hamad."
The 6,000 sq. metre Cartoon City is located in Hall Nos. 5 & 6 of the Dubai World Trade Centre. The organisers will open the doors to the city on July 8. Although the Cartoon Surprises week will conclude on July 14, the Cartoon City will remain open till July 23, so that more children can enjoy the facilities."
The Cartoon City will bring daily shows and well known cartoon characters with the Mushroom Souq, the Captain Hamad Zone, the Forest Adventures, the Smurfs, Snow White and Seven Dwarves Play Area and much more.
Additionally, the city also features 21 different workshops pertaining to artistic skills in the Workshop Zone. The zone will provide free stationery and material to the children.
