Capital’s police rescue team saves heart attack victim

ABU DHABI — An Abu Dhabi Police rescue team has saved the life of a national man who suffered a cardiac arrest following heavy smoking.

According to an official source at the Rescue and Ambulance Department, the team saved his life deploying Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) device.

CPR is a procedure to support and maintain breathing and circulation in a person who has suffered a heart attack.

The man was among many others who had been saved by the rescue and ambulance teams of Abu Dhabi Police which use state-of-the-art medical equipment including first aid devices. After the provision of first aid, patients are referred to emergency units at hospitals for further treatment.
