The expo, to be held under the patronage of Major General Shaikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Interior, has been organised by General Exhibition Corporation (GEC) and German Exhibition Company (ESSEN) with the cooperation of Ministry of Interior. It will be held from November 14-17.

A four-day event to be organised by the GEC in cooperation with the UAE Ministry of Interior and Messe Essen will witness the introduction of several state-of-the-art products and technologies presented by international security and safety companies.

The show will feature exhibitors from many countries around the world and include some of the world's most renowned international security and safety companies.

Over 63 per cent of the exhibitors have confirmed their participation in Security & Safety Middle East 2005.

"The exhibition had a great deal of interest from the different local and international media. More than 63 per cent of participating companies expressed their intention to exhibit in the second edition of Security & Safety Middle East 2005," said Brigadier Mattar Salim Al Niyadi, Director of Information Systems at the Ministry of Interior.

The GEC is working towards ensuring that the 2005 edition of the exhibition will give the opportunity to the different security bodies and police departments of the GCC, Arab and North African countries besides India, Pakistan, and Turkey to display their equipment and latest technology in this very important market and region.

The Middle East is considered a major participant in this field and this exhibition is very important because there is a rise in need for security and safety worldwide.

According to the organisers, the exhibition will increase and enhance the communications and relations between the international company providers of security and safety, and the investors who are looking to buy these products. This reflects a positive way of dealing with mutual benefits to Europe and USA, from one side and Asia and Middle East from the other side.

This exhibition will become an open a door for international exhibitors to enter the Gulf market and the Middle East, as a whole.
