ASD is a lifelong neurological developmental disorder affecting a person’s verbal and social communication skills. The incidence of autism is increasing worldwide with a 400 per cent rise in its diagnosis in the last decade.

The unique DAC booth in Academic City has visited and engaged guests and employees of Dubai Sports Council, Dubai Courts, Mohammed bin Rashid Housing Estimate, Dubai Health Authority, Knowledge and Human Development Authority and now it is at Dubai Media Incorporated.

Aside from spreading information on ASD, the booth sells branded DAC products like T-shirts, pins, and sunshades to support its campaign.

Mohammed Al Emadi, Director-General and Board Member of DAC, said: “It is an excellent opportunity for DAC to reach out to the community and engage them in jointly addressing the challenge of autism in the country.”
