Call to improve efficiency of immigration officers
SHARJAH — There is a need to enhance the performance of immigration officers in keeping with the fast pace of progress in the country, said the Under-secretary in the Ministry of Interior, Lieutenant-General Saif Abdullah Al Shaafar, on Saturday.
Lt-Gen. Al Shaafar made the remark during a visit to the Sharjah Department of Naturalisation and Residency.
Lt-Gen. Al Shaafar was briefed by the Director of the Sharjah Department of Naturalization and Residency, Colonel Abdullah bin Sahwa, on the tasks and duties of the various sections and branches of the department.
He also highlighted the challenges facing them, and the means of overcoming these challenges to provide swift processing and better service.
Later, Al Shaafar toured the sections and viewed the online handling of transactions.
