DUBAI — A 26-year-old Nepali national, Dil Parsad Rai, was murdered early yesterday morning by a gang which stole electric cables from the company he worked for. The victim worked as a guard in Al Dolphin Contracting Company, was found strangled in a building under construction belonging to the company.
The victim’s brother who works as a guard and stays with him in the room awoke at 7am but did not find his brother in bed. He was surprised why his brother did not wake him up, because he was supposed to start his shift at 6am. He went out in search of his brother and started screaming when he saw his dead body. He called up the company officials who informed the police about the murder and theft at 8am.
The police officials, forensic officials and a doctor rushed to the crime scene where they found the body of the victim who seemed to have suspected the movement of thieves, but when he tried to resist them, they strangled him to death. The victim’s cigarettes, watch and torch, were found thrown near his body. The police started investigations to arrest the murderers who had fled the scene.
