Cabinet discusses draft law on medical liability

ABU DHABI — His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, yesterday chaired a meeting of the council of ministers held at the Presidential Palace.

The council discussed a number of topics and took appropriate decisions on them.

The council approved the release of the ‘cabinet operating system guide’ for the first time in the country. It also endorsed a resolution by the GCC supreme council on the issuance of a manual for imported food control procedures.

The council of ministers also ratified an agreement between the UAE government and the United Nations office for project services, as well as several standards proposed by the Emirates Standardisation and Metrology Authority.

An agreement signed between the UAE and People’s Republic of China pertaining to cooperation on legal affairs was also signed. The council of ministers discussed a draft law on medical liability as well as a number of other drafts on its agenda.
