HuaweiCab drivers will give exact change
DUBAI - After complaints, the Roads and Transport Authority has introduced a new system of providing petty cash to drivers so that exact change can be disbursed to passengers.
Ammar bin Tamim, Director of Dubai Taxi Department from the Public Transport Agency in the RTA, said, “We decided to implement this system on receiving complaints from our customers about not being rendered the exact change.”
The RTA started distributing petty cash (Dh100) each yesterday dividing it into groups of fives, 10 and 20. The total amount of cash to be dispensed is Dh 450,000.
