Busloads of Students Throng Job Fair to
Explore Career Avenues

Students who accompanied their teachers and guardians explored career avenues with different organisations, participated in interactive seminars and sought the opinions of career counsellors.

More than 100 organisations have gathered to provide comprehensive training and career opportunities to students of the country.

The UAE’s Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Shaikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, along with Shahnaz Wazir Ali, Special Assistant to Pakistan’s Prime Minister on Social Sector, and Khurshed Ahmed Junejo, Ambassador of Pakistan to the UAE, inaugurated the career exhibition.

Many students and professionals took advantage of the launch of the site, www.jobsabudhabi.ae, uploading their CVs to Abu Dhabi government’s official job recruitment web site.

Speaking to Khaleej Times, Dr Mugheer Khamis Gaber Al Khaili, Director General of Abu Dhabi Education Council, said, “This is the market where the demand and supply meet each other.

“We hope this will give opportunities to our students in the country and abroad. Every year we’ll be creating opportunities for our students to meet up the job providers.”

Najah 2008 will conclude on October 22.
