The meeting came as divisions grow in Europe over the proposed tariffs
At first the policemen did not find anything unusual.
They called the shop-owner and asked him to open the shop's door and there they found a pile of jewellery lying on the floor.
A closer examination revealed that there was a hole in a wall. It was big enough for one person to slip through.
The hole led to the room of electrical transformers of the building, which was adjacent to the jewellery shop.
The police found the metal door of the transformer room locked. When they opened it, they found five men hiding there.
Tools used for breaking doors as well as gloves were recovered from their possession.
During interrogation, the suspects said they had entered the room to get into the jewellery shop.
The sixth suspect had locked the door from outside and waited for them. He was also arrested. One of the accused had entered the shop and collected the jewellery. But the security alarm foiled their plan.
The suspects have been remanded to police custody.
