This step is vital to assist and oblige patients and also aims at realising prompt and accurate follow-up on patients apart from catering to their medical and nursing needs, explains Khaled Al Jezeiry, Hospital's Deputy Director for administrative and financial affairs.

It will aid the patients to fill in all required documents, become acquainted with their rights as well as the hospital's rights, educate them about the cost of treatment, the necessary medical checkups and X-rays, and inform the patients' sponsors regarding their health condition, he explained.

Most of the patients are admitted to the hospital via the emergency unit and are in no condition to be informed of the important details. The new department will bridge the gap. It will also save effort and time for both the patients and the hospital, he elaborated.

An expert from King Faisal hospital in Saudi Arabia, will visit Rashid hospital to fully train the staff in the new beds department. Lately, a delegation from Rashid hospital has paid a visit to King Faisal hospital to stand upon the Saudi experience in this field and to benefit from their expertise, he concluded.
