The Criminal Investigation Department at Sharjah Police and Oman Police worked in close coordination to nab the criminals, who are brothers.

The operations room of Sharjah police received information that the body of an Asian labourer was found in a pool of blood at a warehouse under construction. Police rushed to the spot and found the body of the 50-year-old victim with stab wounds all over his body.

Investigations revealed that the victim was employed by a nearby company and that two other labourers had not reported for work since the crime took place.

A special team was formed by Saleh Ali Al Matwa, Director General of Sharjah Police, and Brigadier Humaid Al Hudaidi, Director of Criminal Investigation Deparment to track down the murderers. The police arrested the two men while they were trying to enter Oman through an entry point near Al Ain city.

During interrogation, one of the brothers confessed that he had stabbed the victim following a dispute over money.

At a ceremony to honour Oman policemen who assisted the Sharjah police in the operations, Brigadier Al Hudaidi pointed out to the importance of mutual collaboration between security authorties in the UAE and the AGCC, as per the instructions of Shaikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Interior.
