Brother looks for missing driver

DUBAI — Since last Saturday, Nourudheen, 53, an Indian national has been frantically visiting hospitals and police stations to try and discover the whereabouts of his brother, 56-year-old Abdullah Abdul Kader, who has been missing since February 9. So far his desperate search has been in vain as the police have yet to locate Kader.

Abdul KaderHe said Kader has been working with a local trading company for past three years as a driver.

“He went to Wafi Mall last Saturday afternoon to drop off his employer’s sister. Since then he has been missing along with the company’s gold coloured Toyota Camry car with a Dubai registration number F-40907. His mobile phone is switched off and nobody has any idea regarding his whereabouts,” Nourudheen said.

“We have already visited several hospitals and police stations to try and trace him. We have also informed his wife and three children in India and they are in a state of shock. However, we are still hopeful that Kader is all right,” Nourudheen added.

“We have also lodged a missing person’s report at the Al Rafa Police Station,” Nourudheen added.

Meanwhile, a police source said, “We have already alerted all other police throughout the UAE. But, as yet, we have had no breakthrough in this case.”
