Brochure to inspire staff

DUBAI - The Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) has published a brochure on Adaat which has been designed to inspire its employees follow the best norms, values and procedures to achieve the objectives.

The DTCM Head Office has printed 600 copies of the brochures, which will be distributed to the department's offices.

The DTCM Manager Media Relations, Eyad Ali Abdul Rahman, said: "Adaat (Arabic for behaviour) has eight components to achieve triumph in every conduct. These comprise of values, respect, teamwork, communication, customer-focus, employee-focus, fostering innovation and commitment to the community. All these, if practised together, will take the organisation to newer heights of accomplishments." He said the brochure, which is in both Arabic and English, was only for the department's staff and reassures them that the organisation values their efforts, and was committed to provide them the best possible environment for growth and progress.

"An employee who possesses these quality is truly an asset to the organisation. It is department's duty to acknowledge their efforts and award them accordingly as we believe in 'more we put, more we will get'," he said. The brochure emphasises the employees about satisfying customers' needs to the fullest. "While believing in teamwork and open communication, one factor which is equally important is our support to the community through education, charity or ecology preservation," said Mr Eyad.
