Launched on August 15, the award seeks to connect participants aged between 21 and 40, who are currently working in the creative sector, to a global market. The award focuses on film, TV, and the animation sector across various platforms such as internet, broadcast, consoles, and mobile devices.

Organisers are hoping for submissions from people who have had at least three years’ experience in such industries as interactive software, social media development and media distribution and sales.

UAE participants will join others at a one-week industry programme in the UK from the October 13 to 20, where they will attend the London Cross Media Forum to engage with media practitioners from around the world.

The British Council will also arrange a programme of meetings, presentations and networking opportunities with creative leaders, in addition to several workshops including an opportunity to attend the London Film Festival. Applications close on September 1 with the UAE winner announced on September 8.
