Sharjah — A week-old baby girl died of suffocation in Sharjah’s Al Majaz area, with initial investigations revealing that she was not burped after she was breast-fed.
According to the police, the baby’s uncle rushed her to Al Qasimiya Hospital after finding her motionless. He told the doctors that his wife found the baby bleeding from the nose and ear. The baby was pronounced dead an hour after she was admitted at the hospital.
After the hospital informed the police, the body was transferred to the forensic lab for an autopsy.
