This was stated by Jeanine Pires, President of Embratur (Brazilian Tourism Institute) at a dinner hosted in honour of the UAE journalists on Tuesday.

Jeanine said that Brazil is keen on establishing close trade relations with the Arab countries. She said the launching of regular Emirates flights between Dubai and Sao Paulo, a result of Brazilian President Lula da Silva’s visit to Dubai in 2003, is a milestone in bringing South America closer to the Middle East.

One of the highlights of the Emirates flight is the promotion of Brazil’s accessibility not only to the Arabian market but also to the Indian and Asian markets, she added.

“Travelling through Brazil is a rich experience, no matter which route one follows,” she pointed out.
