Bone Marrow Transplant Centre
in Sharjah on Cards

ABU DHABI - The Ministry of Health (MoH) has completed a feasibility study on the establishment of a bone marrow transplant centre in Sharjah, a senior health official has said.

Al Amiri was speaking on the occasion of the signing ceremony of an agreement between the MoH and Florida’s Blood Transfusion and Research Centre.

The agreement, said Al Amiri, would tap the expertise and technology of the US Centre on Blood Research and other related aspects like continued medical education, medical research, blood cells, conferences and seminars.

The agreement was signed in the premises of the MoH in Abu Dhabi in the presence of the UAE’s Minister of Health, Humaid Al Qattami, the US Ambassador to the UAE, Richard J. Olsen and Governor of Orange County, Florida, Charlie Crist.

Al Amirisaid the UAE would also benefit from the internationally recognised standards applied in the United States.
