Bomb scare at DMC proves a hoax
DUBAI — Absent-mindedness of two workers, who forgot a bag containing tools on the roof of an elevator where maintenance work was being carried out, created a bomb scare at the Dubai Media City (DMC) yesterday afternoon.
The police, along with Civil Defence officials, reached the spot immediately after they were alerted and stormed the building.
A police official disclosed that the entire operation lasted around 36 minutes and the bag left over by the two workers was recovered.
