Dr Syedna Burhanuddin emphasised that Islam means peace and the message of Moharrum (the first month of the Muslim New Year) is the message of universal peace.

"I pray to Allah to bestow his choicest blessings and benedictions upon all Muslims, and may peace and harmony prevail amongst all humanity, and may Dubai and the UAE remain a land of peace, progress and prosperity" said Dr Syedna.

He urged his followers to remain committed to Islam and the Shariat, respect human values and work for the common welfare and well-being of fellow citizens.

Addressing the community members, Sultan ul Bohra asserted "Your presence in this Masjid is an expression of your love and affection for Allah. You have travelled thousands of miles to Dubai this year to participate in this 'Majaalis al Waaz’, which is a solemn and sacred occasion."

Received as a State Guest of the Government of Dubai, Dr Syedna expressed thanks and appreciation for the facilities and support provided by the government and the people of Dubai for the successful conduct of the nine-day 'Majaalis ul Waaz', which will conclude on March 1.
