The officer said the decomposing body of the 27-year-old Chinese woman was found in her flat in Fareej Al Marrur on Friday after neighbours informed the watchman about a foul smell.
The watchman noticed traces of blood in front of the door and called in the police. A police source said that officers found the woman’s body lying on the floor with her head smashed by an iron tool that was found near her body. The source said initial investigations showed the woman was killed on Wednesday.
The police investigation revealed that a Chinese woman who was living with the victim had travelled outside the UAE on the date of the crime back to China. — amira@khaleejtimes.ae
