CCA to honour prize winners
DUBAI — The Catholicate College Alumni (CCA) will hold a stage show on May 18 at the Karama Hotel in Dubai where winners of its recently-held art and literary competitions will be honoured. A commemorative souvenir of the CCA will also be released the same day. Nihal of T.K.M. Engineering College Alumni bagged the 1st prize in Malayalam poem recitation, while Essay Writing award was won by Revathy Sajeev of S.N. College Nattika.
Saban of C.M.S. College and Sherin Susan David of Catholicate College came first in light music for male and female (seniors), respectively. In light music for juniors, Seethal Susan Rajan of K.G. College Pampadi came first.
First award in painting was won by Sangeeth of S.B. College, Changanassery, while in Drawing, it was again Nihal of T.K.M. Engineering. In the Bharathanattiyam competition, Pournami Mohan of St. Gregorios College, Kottarakara was declared winner. Sariga Gangadharan of S.B. College, Changanachery came second.
Heart centre launch
DUBAI — A spectacular laser show marked the official launch of the branch of German Heart Centre (GHC) in Dubai. Based out of the Dubai Health Care City, the centre offers the whole spectrum of cardiac care services including non-invasive and invasive procedures.
While the non-invasive procedures are handled at its facility at the DHCC, the invasive procedures are being carried out at its associate hospital — International Modern Hospital (IMH).
