The agreement, which will remain in force for an initial period of three years, was signed to support the Department of Transport's policy agenda 2007-2008 of the Abu Dhabi emirate plan by 2030.
The agreement reflects the vision of the President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, for the continued fulfilment of the grand plans for Abu Dhabi envisaged by the late Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
The Chairman of the Department of Transport, Abdullah Rashid Al Otaiba, said that the MoU would boost cooperation and collaboration in all areas of transportation research, training and other related subjects of common interest.
It will also create training and develop opportunities in the areas of transportation planning and engineering.
