Bid to boost IT literacy

DUBAI — In a move designed to promote computer literacy within the UAE, the Fujairah Scientific and Cultural Centre (FSCC) has signed an agreement with the International Computer Driver Licence (ICDL) programme for the GCC.

With this agreement, the FSCC will expand implementation of the ICDL programme in Fujairah and the East Coast. It will develop the IT skills of UAE nationals working in the government and educational sectors, contributing to the overall administrative and educational development of its residents with the basic technological skills to build an all inclusive digital society.

Under the terms of the agreement, the FSCC will provide infrastructure and qualified human resources required for the successful implementation of the national project.
