Mr Langah spoke to Khaleej Times in an exclusive interview during his short stay here on his return from London where he attended the International Seraiki Conference. He said that there are 50,000 Seraiki-speaking people in the UAE, but there was no single platform for them. "My visit is aimed at gathering all these people together and forming an organisation that would help solve their problems on their return home," he said.

Giving details about the points raised at the conference, Mr Langah said, "Our major demand is for a separate province because we feel that the Pakistan federation is not balanced as Punjab has a monopoly in the country." He said 100 per cent of the country's cotton is produced in the Seraiki belt, but not even one per cent cotton-based industry is in the area.
