Beauty show draws 7,000 visitors to Dubai

DUBAI - Over 7,000 visitors came to visit the latest products and trends in the beauty, wellness and spa sectors show held at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

An increase of 30 per cent was registered as compared to last year as the show was attended by people from the Gulf, Africa, Europe, the Near and Far East.

Nadine Heylene, Export Manager of Belgium based Pact Systems said, "We regard Beautyworld/Wellness and Spas Middle East as an interesting trade show. We made very good business contacts and achieved our objectives."

First time participant and organiser of the Brazilian Pavilion, the Brazilian Toiletry, Perfumery and Cosmetic Association (ABIHPEC) said they were very pleased with this year's show and would also participate in next year's show.

Udo Frenzel, Director Economic Affairs, German Cosmetic, Toiletry, Perfumery and Detergent Association (IKW) said, "From 1998 until 2003, exports to the UAE increased by 135 per cent and we are looking forward to next year's show.

Wellness & Spas Middle East was also held along the sidelines of Beautyworld exhibition. Over 80 exhibitors showcased their products, treatments and equipment at the exhibition.

La Ric from Austria/Germany, a first time exhibitor in the Wellness & Spa section also announced their satisfaction over the show. Sonja La Ric said, "There was a high demand for our products, especially from physicians and clinics. We regard the exhibition as a high value event for our company."

Stephanie Niazi, Owner of Holistic Body Essentials LLC, Dubai affirmed, "Beautyworld/Wellness & Spas Middle East made an impressive shift as compared to last year."

Beautyworld/ Wellness & Spas Middle East 2004 also held a conference and live performance on stage. A large number of the audience witnessed the display given by renowned barbers and make-up artists.

Next year, Beautyworld/Wellness & Spas Middle East will take place from May 2-4 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
