The resolution comes in the light of the ministry’s keenness to implement its strategic objectives regarding its contribution to achieving food security and protecting the community and livestock from diseases and epidemics, especially the diseases that transmit between humans and animals, as well as preserving public health.

According to the resolution, every shipment of beef from Italy must have a valid and accredited veterinary certificate, a certificate of origin and a Halal slaughtering certificate by an Islamic centre accredited by the Ministry of Environment and Water.

All shipments are subject to quarantine procedures observed in the UAE.
