Emirates Post is supporting the awareness campaign by stamping mail with a special postmark (cancellation imprint) with the message ‘A Society Free of Undocumented Workers — Grace Period to Legalise Status 3-6-2007 to 2-9-2007.’

The postmark will be used from August 27 to September 2.

“Illegal or undocumented workers pose not only security risk to the nation but also harm the labour market,” said Abdullah Al Daboos, Director-General, Emirates Post.

“When a worker is legal, he can seek all his rights. We want to educate the public on the dangers of allowing illegal people to live and work in the UAE. We fully support the efforts of the Ministry of Interior and Ministry of Labour to make the UAE safe through this awareness campaign,” he added.
