The club’s management, however, announced that the Aviation Club will remain open throughout the construction period which will take about two years.

Access to the club will be from the Dubai Tennis Stadium side.

The club has also provided a fleet of golf carts to ferry its members and clients from the stadium parking to the Akaru Spa, Nail Spa, the Top Style Salon and the Club during the construction period.

“This is an exciting development for the Aviation Club but, at the same time, it is nostalgic to see the Gate House go,” commented club manager Gerard Kearney.

The planned 295-bedroom luxury hotel will complement the top quality facilities already on site, including the Irish Village, Century Village and The Cellar Restaurant.

The new facility will also have covered car parking spaces.
