Autobiography workshop bags top spot at biennial awards

Sharjah Children Biennial received 550 artworks from 11 Arab and foreign countries, all created by children aged between six and 18.

Sharjah - A workshop on autobiography supervised by artist Nasser Nasrallah bagged the top spot at the fourth Sharjah Children Biennial (SCB) that concluded on Sunday. The second prize went to an animation book-making workshop conducted by artist Tulip Hazbar, while the ‘Incredible Magic’ workshop supervised by artist Alaa Idris came third.

Amal Ali Dad Rahim from Khadija Elementary School in Ajman won the ‘My Art Option’ award. The biennial received 550 artworks from 11 Arab and foreign countries, all created by children aged between six and 18 years.

The biennial’s jury consisted of Shaikha Hour Al Qasimi, President of Sharjah Art Foundation; Shaikha Maisa Al Qasimi, Programmes Manager at the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi; and Emirati artists Mohammed Kazem, Mohammed Al Qassab and Mona Al Khaja.
