Year-to-date, the Abu Dhabi-based airline welcomed 12.0 million passengers
The training programmes were organised in coordination with Ajman Civil Defence.
"We want everyone in the community to be aware of the basic fire-fighting techniques in order to help himself and his family," said Lieutenant-Colonel Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Head of Civil Protection at Ajman Civil Aviation.
He said: "People need to learn more about fire-fighting so they can be helpful before the arrival of civil defence fire-fighters. This will help diminish potential losses during fire. The trainees were given extinguishers and were taught how to use them in different kinds of situations."
He said: "The availability of hand fire extinguishers is essential in reducing the danger of fires in houses, offices and small shops. Everyone should be aware of how to use a fire extinguisher, and to be ready for any possible emergency. Extinguishers should also be checked often."
