Living in Dubai is very different from places I've live in prior. The ever-changing and ever-expanding landscape of the city keeps even the residents on their toes by always introducing something new for the people! The city's progress over the last decade has been especially remarkable, Jumeirah Beach Walk has seen a massive transformation with its redesign and the development of Blue Water Island with its towering Dubai Eye!
More recently still is the impressive work done around the Business Bay area where the Dubai Water Canal now connects everything from the Dubai Gold Souk through to Dubai Festival City and down to Dubai Mall - making it possible for us to take water taxis and enjoy the skyline!

The UAE has grown to become one of the world leaders in terms of sustainability, technology, and welfare, and has managed to achieve this feat in just a few years. The skyline has changed over the past 10 years, and the infrastructure of the city has grown. It's impressive how quickly the city has grown over the past ten years, from introducing a Metro Line to building the tallest tower in the world, to now being the region for a global Expo 2020. It is truly inspiring to see my home take large leaps into the future and help lead other nations into a new decade.

I was born and brought up right here in Dubai, and I have come to view Dubai as my home. For as long as I can remember, Dubai has always been a safe space for me and for my family. Over the past decade, I've noticed the rapid changes taking place in the city; whenever I travelled back to India, I marvelled at how everything stayed the same, yet something new was introduced in Dubai almost every year! Because of so much growth, I never noticed how quickly things changed around me, until my family came for a visit and I would take them around the new sights. For me, the city is and always will be my safe space, a place that I will always call home.

In the last 10 years, the UAE has been true to its words and to its people, in providing the best kind of life for every resident and visitor alike, and I feel that it will continue to rise to greater heights.
Living here, I, alongside others, have witnessed the UAE take lead in many categories rivalling countries worldwide. This includes ranking at the top in infrastructure and quality of life as well as in security. The UAE has also given us access to plenty of services through digital innovation, ensuring an improved way of life, better healthcare, and other options that are vital in day-to-day life.

A lot has changed over the past 10 years. I remember that advancements went into hyper drive at the beginning of 2009. We saw skyscrapers and amusement parks rise up in no time; there was suddenly so much more to do.
I've always seen the UAE as one of the safest countries to live in, and its improved law structure has further helped enhance that feeling of security. Besides that, I think one of the best changes that has come about in the last 10 years is the UAE's focus on sustainability, the environment, health, and education.

I've lived in the UAE for the last 23 years, and seeing this country grow over the course of my lifetime has been astonishing. The advancement made to set up incredible cityscapes and a fully functioning modern nation is impressive. Its initiative to move forward and incorporate futuristic designs paired with sustainable initiatives, while at the same time, maintaining its traditional roots, is something observed in few countries. I am happy to see this growth and be able to call this place my home.
