The award-winning Arabic search engine Araby (araby.com) yesterday announced the launch of Araby Music (music.araby.com), an innovative search tool to explore, and access, a blend of Arabic melodies. The idea is to spice up the lives of Arabic music fans across the globe.

The unique search tool gives music fans access to a superb constellation of Arab singers - from the classical legends such as Kulthum, Fairouz, Abdul Haleem Hafiz and Abdul Wahab, to the pop sensations like Ajram, Mohamed Abdouh, Haifa Wahby and Amr Diab.

In addition to the famous singers and bands, Araby Music also covers singers and bands that are emerging popular among Arab audiences across the world. “We at Araby are committed to providing our users a unique experience and world-class Arabic-language search services that satisfy their needs and help them explore the Arabic content on the Internet,” said Samih Toukan, CEO, Maktoob Group.

“The newly launched search engine matches our newly adopted slogan: “Arabic Internet Begins Here”. We want to become the gateway to access all digital Arabic content,” Toukan stressed.

Araby Music (music.araby.com) users can search thousands of Arabic singers and songs from all over Arabia - the Gulf, Levant, Egypt and North Africa. Search results contain song titles, singer names, file types and sizes, lyrics, and links to the sources of these results.

“Araby Music has been purposefully built to cater to the changing needs of different groups of Arabic listeners and is expected to fulfil the needs of all Arabic music lovers,” Toukan claimed.
