DUBAI — The Dubai Police will organise awareness lectures in schools and at mobile exhibitions in malls as part of the Arab Traffic Week launched yesterday.
Various social, educational and commercial organisations will take part in the traffic week activities.
Brigadier Issa Aman, Deputy Director of Traffic Department, said that the traffic week is a campaign to spread awareness among the public on how to deal with road signals and board instructions.
He called upon the media to highlight the traffic week activities, thereby spreading awareness among the community members about the importance of abiding by the traffic rules and preventing accidents which result in deaths and injuries of thousands of people in the UAE every year. He also called upon the road users and drivers to work on minimising traffic accidents.
