The announcement came at the concluding ceremony of the 4th Forum of Arab Producers held at the Arab League headquarters in Cairo in recognition of the efforts of Shaikh Mohammed in promoting the visual and print media as effective instruments of social development in the Arab world.

It is the first time an Arab leader has won this title, said the sources at the Arab League.

This reflects the great appreciation the people of the media and the artists cherish in their hearts for the patronage and support Shaikh Mohammed has extended to media enabling them to play vital roles in social, scientific, cultural, economic and political development in the Arab world.

The media could mirror a civilised face of the Arab nation, effectively depicting their love for peace, art, culture, literature and humanitarian work, the sources noted.
